April until August is the best period for staying in the UK🇬🇧. Let's talk about how to make the most of your British summer and actually enjoy the weather ☀️(yes - we're talking about the weather again!).🤫

As you know, the cost of living is getting more expensive now. 💸It costs you £10 just to breathe once you step outside of your flat. Let's explore some brilliant ideas for spending a 🤩free British summer in London🤩 without breaking the bank.

🎬Free Outdoor Cinema Experiences in London

I've only been to the Kings Cross one - that one is completely free. However, you'll need to queue if the movie is a popular one. You can find the complete schedule at the Everyman on the Canal to view movies, dates and times.

💮Cherry Blossom Viewing in London Parks (April)

This one's a little early if I say it's a summer activity, but given that we have the best weather in April, you cannot miss cherry blossom season in London. Visit parks like Greenwich Park, Battersea Park, or St. James's Park for the most Instagram-worthy London spring activities.🧺Perfect Picnic Spots in London Parks

Get your blanket, prepare some snacks, and lie down in the park with your friends. I love that there are London parks everywhere, so you can enjoy the greenery anytime. Popular free picnic locations include Hampstead Heath, Primrose Hill, and Clapham Common.

🌞Urban Sunbathing in London's Green Spaces

This was new to me - I used to do it at the beach, but living in the city with so much greenery in London and sunshine until 9pm, you definitely need to get some tan. Just take your towel , book📕, sunscreen, sunglasses 🕶️, water 💧 and some snacks🫒 for the perfect London sunbathing experience and a bit of me-time. ✌🏻

🏃🏻‍♀️Free Running Routes Across London

Below are a few brilliant London running routes I recommend:

  • Holland Park to Hyde Park - Do a loop in Holland Park, enjoy the view in Kyoto Garden, then run past Notting Hill High Street and arrive at Hyde Park

  • Regent's Park - Perfect for a proper loop with beautiful scenery

  • Victoria Park - Do this on Sunday when there's a food market with cheap and delicious food

  • Fulham to Putney via Hammersmith Bridge - Great riverside running

  • River Thames Path - From Tower Bridge to London Eye, or Sloane Square to Battersea Park

🎾Free Tennis Courts in London

There are actually two free tennis courts in London in excellent condition at Hammersmith Park. It's first-come, first-served basis, though you might see a long queue over the weekend. Perfect for free sports activities London.

🍓🎾Watching Wimbledon on Big Screens (June-July)

It's not difficult to spot those big TV screens everywhere during Wimbledon season. Check out Liverpool Street, Spitalfields Market, Hammersmith Station, Fulham Pier, or Westfield shopping centres.

Don't forget to grab some strawberries from the supermarket and cream to make your own snacks while watching Wimbledon in London - it's practically a British summer tradition!

🏪Best Weekend Markets

Personally, my favourite London farmers market is the Queen's Park one. You can find all kinds of fresh veggies, eggs, meat, seafood, and prepared food. The sausage roll is absolutely lit 🔥🔥

If you want a longer walk, try going from Columbia Road Flower Market all the way to Broadway Market - you'll walk past a city farm as well. Perfect for free weekend activities London.

👋🏻It's been a while since my last update, and I've been enjoying myself with this gorgeous weather. One more month to go before the gloomy weather starts approaching again. Let's make the most of it while we can! ♥️
